Our future wellbeing is made with global carbon handprint

The goal of the mission is to significantly increase Finland's carbon handprint in the world. This goal can be reached by actively bringing global developments to the awareness of Finnish companies and guiding innovations to solve the challenges of the future. With the mission, we also want to accelerate the international growth of companies and connect Finnish companies to new value chains emerging in the world.

About mission

Finland’s future competitiveness and success of exports and international industries depends highly how well Finland’s research, development and innovation as well as business transform and renew to provide technologies, solutions and services for the global markets evolving from the transition. Additionally, the existence of life in the present form is closely linked to decarbonization actions. Finland can have a larger role than her actual size in climate change mitigation and adaptation hence creating a large and impactful carbon handprint.

Global carbon handprint can be achieved by speeding and scaling-up new innovations and creating long-term business opportunities globally. We do this by enhancing global networks and partnerships. Finland’s superpower is to link digitalization and circularity into these segments and operate cross-sectorally and holistically.
